Volvo Group Telematics is hosted by Volvo IT and is a global organization within the Volvo Group providing telematics off-board services. Volvo Group Telematics enables & accelerate customer-oriented off-board telematics service development & delivery. Volvo Group Telematics supports the Volvo Group whilst the Wireless Car brand is used to support external customers in the Automotive Car OEM segment such as BMW and Audi.

We are looking for a customer oriented Director to lead the Volvo Group Telematics Project Management Office. As head of Project Management Office you will be a member of the VGT Management Team and report to the Vice President for Volvo Group Telematics. You will have HR responsibility and overall governance responsibility of the entire Volvo Group Telematics project portfolio.

Main responsibilities
• Secure that portfolio is aligned with strategies and business (including benefit realization and measurement)
• Responsible for initiating and monitoring of all Volvo Group Telematics projects objectives and securing leadership buy-in for project initiated
• Responsible of providing project prioritization to the management team
• Take part in the portfolio management process
• Alignment of other Volvo Group PMOs and steering committees
• Overall capacity management (demand-> resource)
• Report status results, risks and issues and forecast to the management team on the complete project portfolio
• Project quality management and audits
• Coaching and support to project managers and spread best practices in the project management area
• Drive standardization through common project management methods and tools
• Responsible for KPI?s and other performance targets in own area
• Personnel responsibility (recruitments, salary setting, competence development, PBP)
• Member of Steering Committees for key projects
• Responsible for implementation of strategic directions in own area as set in Volvo Group Telematics Management Team, e.g.:
• Processes and working methods
• Structural changes and sourcing decisions
• Implementation of competence development plans

General profile

The Project Management Office Director needs to have the ability to work under demanding and changing conditions. A successful applicant must also be able to work in a global organization. You enjoy teamwork, contribute with team spirit and you like taking responsibility.

This position requires;

• Experience in project management and project portfolio management
• Leadership competence, experience and ability to motivate others
• Ability to drive a holistic view and business perspective on the project portfolio management, focused on execution to reach set targets
• A global and strategic mindset and previous experience working in an international environment
• Good communication and networking skills
• Ability to establish and maintain good relations with your within VGT and with our stakeholders
• A university degree (within engineering or finance)
• Fluent in English
