We are now looking for a Director for Product Quality Management Cab & EE & OBT, based in Gothenburg.
The position reports to the Vice President of Product Quality and Technical Service Europe & Latin America.
Main responsibilities
Support product owners to ensure that the overall vehicle product quality are met for the associated regions and product ranges
Responsible for Quality Improvement pre-studies
Main tasks
Manage and lead the GTT Q&CS Product Quality Management Cab/EE/OBT team
Identify and develop competencies and resources required to monitor, develop and improve product quality
Ensure processes and competences are in place to provide accurate description of customer issues
Prioritize resolution of issues, including elevating critical issues to management in the quality governance
Assure global coordination of all solutions
Identify methods and processes to continually improve product reliability and the development process
Lead rapid field
Manage Q&CS KPI and monthly status
Prepare technical campaign material
Ensure the quality management tools in place are adequate and utilized in order to deliver reliability and quality targets - recommend new tools, training or process changes as required
Authorities
Develop competences in order to achieve the product quality targets
Recommend pro-active campaigns in the field, track campaign progress and ensure documentation of progress
Open Quality Improvements (QJ's and QSP 's, initiate QPMRs and other Quality initiatives) to address current product quality
Problem Solving/Decision Making: Taking a well-ordered approach solving problems and acting despite obstacles or resistance
Essential skills and needed experience
Master of Science in an engineering field or equivalent
Experience in an automotive or related industry, preferably in Engineering, Aftermarket, or Dealership - minimum 5 years. Basic product knowledge
Demonstrating a high level of competence in each of the Volvo Leadership competencies for leading people
Management experience, preferably 3-5 years
