Description
Our Engineering department is now creating a strong foundation of skills and we are therefore looking for a Director - Product Lifecycle Engineering.
You will use your technical skills and your ability to lead others, as this role is expected to:
• Develop strategy, lead, coordinate and inspire the Product Lifecycle engineering team in their daily work.
• In cooperation with adjacent Nevs functional leaders, develop, implement and manage a cross functional software engineering development and validation lifecycle process to drive customer feedback and experience from the marketplace (e.g. aftersales operations, network and customers) into product development, purchasing and manufacturing operations. Including software downloads and programming methodology and operations.
• In cooperation with adjacent Nevs functional leaders, define, develop and implement the NEVS connected vehicle strategy.
• Be responsible for vehicle serviceability & reparability, parts engineering and serial/parallel diagnostic tools and fault tracing engineering, special tools engineering, requirement settings and validation. Including development and production of technical information in the determined source language used in e.g. workshop information (technical descriptions, fault tracing procedures, repair procedures, labor times, service programs), part catalogues, owner manuals, infotainment manuals, warranty & service manuals, pre delivery inspection instructions etc.
• Monitor and fulfill legal compliance of regulations such as eCall, CCC, BER, EU5/EU6, CARB etc. in authored technical information.
• Monitor and fulfill ELV (End of Life Vehicle) legal compliance & information.
• Be responsible for business development and sales of applicable engineering services to external customers within area of expertise.
• In cooperation with adjacent NEVS functional leaders, define, maintain and continuously improve engineering strategy development, implementation, authoring and business management of engineering deliverables to the marketplace and manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
• Relevant experience in the work area, at least 10 years, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Relevant experience from business transformations and external sales of engineering services.
• Master of Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Drivers license B
You master English, both spoken and written.
To be successful in this role, you need to:
• Have functional and technical skills.
• Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded.
• Have good communication and motivation skills.
• Have excellent automotive industry knowledge.
• Be able to plan, prioritize and make decisions in time.
Terms
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
