Global Procurement Propulsion & Sustainability at Volvo Cars is responsible for developing purchasing strategies, new vehicle/platfroms sourcing with the best in class concept, supplier sustainability, supplier quality, supplier footprint set-up/optimization and cost reduction for all direct material supplies to Volvo Cars related to components within our responsibility area.

Within our team, we now have an open position as Director Procurement Sustainability.
What 's in it for you
As Director Procurement Sustainability you will lead a global team of over 10 senior specialist and experts in the sustainability area and have the global responsibility for supply chain sustainability transformation. As global responsible for the transformation, you will work in close cooperation with the entire Procurement direct and indirect material line organizations and hold them responsible to secure the best strategy and implementation of sustainability roadmap. You will be part of the Global Propulsion and Sustainability Management team. You will lead and develop your team as well as contribute in developing the global Propulsion and Sustainability Procurement unit in total. Close collaboration with the central sustainability team of the company, as well as R&D, and Manufacturing sustainability function is the key to drive the sustainability transformation. You need a good holistic understanding and a good strategic view to thrive in a global, cross-functional and fast-moving environment.
What you will do
You will pro-actively work with internal and external partners and stakeholders to find ways to align the supply chain sustainability strategies and roadmaps according to the latest legal and political landscape and company purpose and vision, and push for implementation with your team. You will need to continuously develop the competence and capability of your team and train the rest of the whole procurement organization to achieve the company's vision of sustainability leadership in the industry. You actively contribute to the Procurement Transformation journey and influence others towards our common goals. Of course, in practical terms, you will do the recruitment, new employee introduction, competence development and salary setting.
You and your skills
You have previous senior leadership experience for the legal or ESG of multinational companies in central function or Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality or R&D. You can demonstrate experience from leading and coaching people and teams through continuous feedback and coaching. You enjoy driving continuous transformation and breaking grounds for new areas. You possess a strong strategic mindset and understanding of the company or procurement strategies. You drive both long-term strategic issues and short-term operational issues. You hold a commercial or technical university degree. You got analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to facilitate and communicate resolution of complex issues with an attitude, "yes we can!
