hela Sverige Product Strategy is function within Volvo Cars Corporation (VCC) with the responsibility for all product strategy matters, from strategic work to end of life of the products. This function is responsible for business development through product creation and for maximizing the profitability of all our products.
There are five different teams within Product Strategy
* Product Planning
* Connectivity & Autonomous Drive
* Product Definition & Innovation
* Partnerships & Alliances
* Product & Market Intelligence
Product Strategy manages the VCC cycle plan and the product decision process towards Product Board and VCC Board of Directors. We define all prerequisites for all car and powertrain programs and ensures the link towards the company Business Plan. We manage all partnerships and alliances and Product and Market intelligence serves the whole company with fact based data and insights.
Director Partnerships & Alliances - External Alliances
We are searching for a new member of the Partnership & Alliance team within Product Strategy, reporting directly to the Senior Director Partnerships & Alliances.
Partnerships & Alliances are responsible for all major interactions with external companies. From initial contacts to contractual management of signed contracts. In addition the team is also responsible for developing and creating a plan for potential future partners. Examples of contracts are all Volvo Car - Geely cooperation's, the newly agreed partnership with Uber and the Joint Venture with Autoliv in the field of autonomous drive.
External Alliances are focused on engagements with technology leading companies and other OEMs to enhance Volvo Car position further in targeted areas such as Autonomous Drive, Connected Cars and electrification.
Responsibility:
* Managing IntraGroup 3rd party contacts, from initial initiative to follow up and managing agreed contracts
* Proactively manage the partnership and alliance process within VCC
* Lead cross functional teams to secure full internal alignment
* Prepare, present and recommend partnership and contract decisions to the top management; EMT, Product Board and Product Managers Meeting
* Communicate approved contracts internally
Qualifications
* Minimum Masters degree in Legal, Engineering or Finance
* Thorough understanding of legal and contractual problems
* At least 5-10 years of automotive work experience
* Good business orientation, market and customer focus
* Excellent in English, written and spoken
Personal qualifications
* Business minded diplomat with thick skin, high clock frequency and work ethics
* Impressive negotiation skills
* Ability to drive for results
* Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills
* Good leadership skills - ability to inspire and motivate people
Meritorious
* Broad cross functional network within VCC
* A strong understanding of VCC's values and products
