Then it's a great opportunity for you to apply for the role as a Director of Systems Operations for one of NASDAQ's Application Management teams in Stockholm.
The team is responsible for the daily technical operations for several European and US exchanges and takes active part in ongoing projects, both for new and existing clients. The team provides resilience, capacity and performance testing on new releases, run 24/7 2nd Line support through an on-call roster, manage incidents for both internal and external customers, install application updates and maintain operational documentation and procedures.
About the team and role:
As a Director of Systems Operations you will lead a team that is responsible for operating exchange systems and are deeply involved in internal and external projects. You will be responsible and accountable for managing and developing the team, setting direction and deploying resources on varying projects, participating in organization-wide projects, while providing guidance and expertise on an as needed basis. In addition you will also lead our virtual DevOps team. As a manager you are required to understand how other business units operates, how their goals align with organizational goals and have budget and profit/loss responsibility.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Building, managing, and providing leadership to a team of professional staff
• Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinating work activities with other supervisors and managers.
• Collaborating with other levels of management and other departments to create and maintain efficient work processes.
• Collaborating with other levels of management, departments, and clients regarding requests.
• Ensuring timely, accurate and complete reporting to appropriate parties regarding the team's operations.
• Evaluating current business processes and systems, ensuring cost-savings and risk control.
• Motivating, developing, recruiting and retaining employees while rewarding and cultivating a culture of high performing teams.
Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:
• You have a degree in Engineering, Technology or Computer Science discipline possible combined with 5-6 years of work experience in relevant discipline. Prior management experience would be a merit. You are fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
• You have good social skills and like to interact with customers, both internally and externally.
