Job Description
About the position
As Director of Procurement Customers & Solutions in Procurement in CFO Functions you are responsible for procurement activities in the Heat, BA Customers & Solutions (C&S), in Staff Function Communications and in the Energy solutions across Vattenfall and you will lead a management team with direct reports in Sweden, Germany, The Netherlands and United Kingdom.
An essential part of the role is to lead a team effectively to fulfil the Business Area, Business Units and SF's procurement needs while realizing ambitious savings targets. You report to the Chief Procurement Officer and will have a functional reporting line to the senior Vice President of BA Customer & Solutions. Furthermore, you and your teams have interfaces towards different stakeholders internally and externally in a business centric structured sourcing organization. You will work in an international environment with high complexity due to both established and new/fast moving markets. Given all these dynamics, the scope of the role is subject to review and may change over time. Todays areas of responsibility cover sourcing for BA Customer & Solutions, and all its BUs (incl BUs Heat), BU Emobility, BU Solar and batteries, HPV Hydrogen and for SF Communications.
Your tasks and responsibilities
As Director of Procurement Customer & Solutions you will have the following key responsibilities:
To develop a procurement strategy that is fully aligned with the assigned BAs, BUs and SF's strategy and to deliver the designed strategy
Define procurement strategies for emerging markets together with business
Work together with assigned BAs and SFs to fulfil procurement needs
To ensure that good and/or services are sourced in a proper sustainable way and delivered at best total cost of ownership available to Vattenfall on the supplier market (Quality/Service/Technology/Price)
Devise new ways to address in an efficient manner the procurement of low unit price but high frequency purchases (development of frame agreements, strategic distributors)
Collaborate with Procurement Excellence
Align with the rest of the procurement team and with other BAs to extract maximum value from joint bundling of volumes, cross BA category management and cross BA supplier management
Work and align with the assigned BAs, BUs and SFs to ensure good cooperation and deliver highest possible procurement contribution to cost reduction initiatives
Analysis of suppliers markets and design of distinct strategies to secure the best result for each specific category and market situation.
Your average total annual spend to be managed will be around 1,5 billion euro. This spend is divided over main categories like District Heating materials and services, Customer related categories like Marketing and Communication, Customer services and Solar and Hydrogen materials and services.
Lead a management team of around 5 managers with a total number of around 50 employees
Qualifications
We are looking for a Director of Procurement Customer & Solutions in Procurement in CFO Functions who has a relevant University degree (or equal), with a minimum of seven years relevant work experience in a similar position. Extensive experience as a leader in a large international organization. You have a documented experience in managing teams in constant changing and challenging environments. Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written.
