In the position as a Director of Engineering you report to our CTO.

This position is based in Stockholm, as our headquarter is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Your work will involve:
People Manager to Engineering Managers - You are the reporting manager to our team of engineering managers.
High-performing teams - Coaching and mentoring our Engineering Managers to drive improvements in our product teams towards high-performance. You will also make sure our technical teams, we call them guilds, are thriving and swimming in the right direction.
Agile culture - We strive to continuously improve and test new waters so you will lead the quest towards fast learnings and high quality delivery using modern methodologies.
Recruitment - We are going to grow a lot and need to expand our pond and you are a key contributor in this process. Along with our People and Culture team and our excellent engineering managers you will help define hiring goals, drive team engagement and optimize the process.
Planning and execution - Work closely with the cross-functional product teams to support the prioritization and alignment of our development across the teams.
What we are fishing for:
Solid leadership experience with a proven record of managing managers.
Experience growing an organization while ensuring alignment through transparent and honest conversations.
Have a background as a developer or a good understanding of technology and development processes.
Very good understanding of Lean/Agile methodologies and a demonstrable ability to drive innovation and improvements through your team.
Ability to set clear processes and targets that energize and increase the effectiveness of the team.
A servant leader with experience managing and influencing engineering teams to work aligned with the company and its goals.
Leadership experience with the ability to clearly communicate and delegate, while staying humble, and enabling the teams to win.
