We are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.
We stand in front of significant challenges - where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest - and are now adapting to take this on by simplifying and empowering our organization and way of working. Responsibilities / Main tasks
The PE Sweden organization has the full responsibility for Platform Center Heavy Duty Engines, Transmission as well as Application Center Heavy Duty Europe. Included in PE Sweden is also our office in Malmö. The organization takes the product ownership role and optimizes complete powertrain systems through usage of components tailored for each application. PE Sweden is a large organization consisting of roughly 750 passionate employees in Gothenburg and Malmö.
As Director for (site) Malmö, you will have the responsibility for:
Developing leading turbo system, providing expertise and synergies within the Volvo group, focused on Turbocharger systems, Gas exchange simulation, Alternative fuels testing & versatile testing ability
Develop your organization towards goals set for PE Next Gear
You will lead an organization consisting of roughly 50 employees
Your first task will be to shape together with your colleagues in the PE Sweden Leadership team the organizational structure for site Malmö and recruit your management team
The new PE Sweden organization will be organized in product systems, Complete Powertrain and a more agile way of working. Your task will be to both be the leader of technologies as well as people.

You are holding minimum a Master degree in engineering
You have a proven leadership experience
You are well experienced in the automotive industry especially within the area of forefront technology development/research in the Powertrain domain
