Director Group Operation Controlling


Group Operation:

Group Operations is a specialist function to capture synergies and secure strategic alignment between the Divisions. Group Operations responsibilities include quality strategy, manufacturing strategy, HOS, Health, Safety, Sustainability and Group sourcing, including Group strategy, policies, processes, lead buyer concepts, qualifications and audit. Group Operations also include logistics operations with Group responsibilities for transport and demand & supply methods and tools.

The Controlling function within Group Operations work within below areas:
• policies and procedures of the product cost settings securing a harmonized way, as well as reviewing and monitoring development trends
• Guidelines about how to measure factory and purchasing financial performance
• Provide an unbiased and Group view in cross-divisional business cases within areas such as factory investment, make/buy decisions, warehouse footprints etc.
• Together with other stakeholders in Group Operations develop and maintain relevant performance measures (KPIs), particularly focused on S&OP, Quality, manufacturing, transport and sourcing
• On global level follow up factory and purchasing performance
• Be the link between Business and IT regarding content of the Groups DW (BI)
• Owner of the Sourcing Price Monitoring System (PMS).
• Support to the various functions within Group Operations
• Track and support management in the Group's cost efficiency programs


Position/Job Description

The position has direct oversight of Group's global performance within Sourcing and manufacturing. The role holds a senior position. The individual will is key within controlling function within Group Operations and is responsible for develop/govern current policies and procedures financial review of various areas within supply chain, for example product costing where the process need to be harmonized and transparent in order to secure a true and fair product cost. The role requires travelling and the individual must be able to build networks within the organization and find cross divisional interfaces and connections. Having the ability to lead and influence without authority is a necessity to be successful within this role.


Essential Duties:

• Responsible for monitoring Annual Operating Plans for Purchasing and Manufacturing (including monthly follow up and analysing KPI's and financial targets)
• Review and monitor STK development and investigate/challenge negative trends
• Set up processes, guidelines and tools to monitor/secure one common way of standard settings.
• Ensure sound business judgement is used when changing sourcing i.e. moving suppliers between and/or geographical supply.
• Support and ensure sound business judgement is used when deciding make/buy between divisions or externally
• Establish partnerships with brand divisions to secure harmonized way to measure operational performance.
• Develop and present relevant financial results and recommendations to senior management. Assist management in understanding performance trends and operational strategies.
• Be the owner of the Group reporting for factories and logistic centers
• Together with other stakeholders in Group Operations develop and maintain relevant performance measures (KPI), particularly focused on S&OP, Quality, manufacturing, transport and sourcing.
• Take active part (project leader) in the development of a new tool for measuring sourcing performance
