hela Sverige Group Financial Reporting is a function within Group Reporting, Tax & Control that contributes to develop the Financial Reporting process in the Volvo Group in cooperation with other functions within the Financial Reporting area. Group Financial Reporting holds the responsibility of securing the accuracy and completeness of the applicable Business Area's management reports and sign off the Financial reporting.
We are now looking for a Group Chief Accountant.
As Group Chief Accountant you have the responsibility to secure that the financial information reflects the business decisions taken in the Business Area and secure the accuracy, completeness and true and fair view of the financial information within the Volvo Group. The Group Chief Accountant is leading the Financial Reporting within the unit and sign off the financial reporting for the unit.
You will provide information, comments and response to questions coming from Chief Controller for the unit and make sure there is a good dialogue with the management and controllers. You will also develop and maintain an effective cooperation with a number of stakeholders across the Volvo Group.
The role is frequently involved in different kind of projects to be of support and secure appropriate financial reporting deliveries.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Drive the preparation of the monthly closing to secure that the financial information is accurate, timely and quality checked.
• Responsibility for closing activities and management report deliveries.
• Implement and/or follow up Volvo Group policies, strategies and procedures and ensure legal compliance at all times, in applicable areas
• Drive harmonization and standardization of financial deliveries.
• Participate in projects
Critical competencies for the position
• University degree in accounting, finance or equivalent , CPA preferred
• 10+ years solid experience from finance, accounting, tax area or similar
• Experience from Volvo's reporting systems (SAP Master Finance R3, BCS, Essbase) is required
• Proven skills within the Financial Reporting area, demonstrating a strong track record of professional achievements.
• Formal training in leadership, communication and people skills considered as a merit
• Ability to work independently
• Significant experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations
• Be proactive and have high integrity and credibility.
• Enjoy working in teams and have good communication skills
• Have an open attitude to work in a changing environment and contribute to a positive atmosphere
• The position occasionally require travel and as all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required
