The department Global Technical Service, within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (QCS), is a part of the central support to the Volvo Bus Corporation (VBC) global business regions and aftermarket organizations.
Global Technical Service delivers technical support in technical product related issues to our Market Clusters and Importers via Argus cases.
With on-site support, Global Technical Service also develops and communicates service solutions, acts as a back office for TDS,s in Ghent and their front line support to dealers and customers as well as performing accident investigations in our quest to continuously improve the safety for our customers and their passengers.
Global Technical Service is a part of the VBC quality work in the quality process (PRP) where we are handling market quality reports and acts as a link between the market and design departments within VBC.
We are now looking for a Manager to lead and operate Global Technical Service.
Job description:
The Global Director at Technical Service is responsible for operating processes for:
• Technical Support
• Market Quality Reports
• Accident Investigation
• Bus Service Tips
As Director for Global Technical Service, you will lead a global team of Product Specialists responsible for all product related concerns that might occur on a global basis for Volvo Buses. We are today operating with a global team of 18 specialists and administrators of which 15 are located in Gothenburg all striving for Customer Success. Working at Technical Service, assisting customers always comes first.
You will be the communicating link for our Market Clusters and Importers to the design departments within Volvo Buses.
The task involves normal managerial task like salaries, establishing individual personal development plans, budget plans.
You will be located in Gothenburg and the job involves frequent travelling, sometimes with short notice as well as participating in different forums.
Travel
You will travel around 50 days per year.
Miscellaneous
Driving license for car is necessary and for bus is considered as an additional qualification.

You have a deep technical background from the heavy vehicle industry combined with strong analytical skills.

Suitable background and a university degree in engineering.
Experience from lean thinking is an asset.
You are a true team player with good communication skills
You speak and write English fluently. Further language skills are considered as an advantage
