Volvo Group Connected Solutions (VGCS) provides connected services to the Volvo Group. We enable & accelerate customer-oriented off-board connected service development & delivery. Our solutions exist in Volvo Group products in Europe, Asia, US and South America.

The Technology function within VGCS is accountable for the development, delivery and operation of the complete off-board connected solutions platform(s) including shared framework and common solutions/services one-time and run-time.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are now looking for a Director Foundation Services within Technology function.
As Director of Foundation Services you will be accountable for infrastructure services in cloud and on premise, CI/CD tooling as well as messaging and observability services. To achieve this you will work very closely with all parts of the organization within Connected Solutions, but also with our main suppliers in the area such as HCL and AWS. The role requires an agile and networked based leadership style, open mindset and passion to deliver value for our customers.
The position reports to VP Technology and is a member of the Technology management team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Owner for Foundation Services and the interface to Product Management
Accountable for the delivery and priority setting of the Foundation Services backlog
Build, develop and lead a high performing team and innovation culture
Drive continuous improvements in the platform to improve customer's business and operations, as well as delivering a cost efficient platform
Collaborate with functions within Connected Solutions as well as relevant teams within the Volvo Group to enable successful execution

COMPETENCE AND PROFILE QUALIFICATIONS
Track record of leading software engineering, agile development and delivering managed services in cloud as well as on premise
Great interest in the evolution of cloud based services, and always be up to date on the latest technology to be able to drive qualified make or buy decisions
Efficient process improvements and working with continuous improvements of organization and delivery model
Advanced recruitments and people management - motivate, inspire and develop individuals and teams
Leadership experience and proven track record of leading leaders and teams
Successful in building excellent working relationships and operating effectively as a member of a leadership team
Excellent professional skills and ability to work in a fast paced, multicultural and diverse environment
