The role
We have just embarked on probably the most interesting journey of our business ever and now we are looking for an engaged Director Finance. Your focus within the role is to drive and coordinate business control within Cluster Europe. You will be responsible together with the European controlling team, to lead the financial estimates and monthly closing analysis. Important part of your work will be to visualize, challenge and improve the business performance in cluster Europe. In this role you will have a very close cooperation with your colleagues around Europe and with the Vice President of cluster Europe

Key responsibilities are:
Provide excellent and fact-based analysis to European management
Evaluate risk and opportunities
Analyze the financial result and explain the result for the organization
Prepare closings and forecast reports, analysis, and presentation material
Secure that Volvo financial policies and procedures are followed
Part of the European credit committee team with responsibility of review and recommend commercial credit terms
Be part of the tender reviews in Europe, prepare decision material and secure the financial part of the commercial tender decisions.
You

You need to have an interest in accounting but also in the technical aspects of reporting.
You have Experience in organizing and structuring financial data and setting up good management reports. You have good knowledge in accounting and Business Control.
You are result oriented and have a proven ability to transform business objectives and visions to daily work and actions. Interest and ability to understand the commercial environment we work in and contribute to our business success You understand the power of teamwork and you are excellent in partnerships and building strong and long-term relationships.
You have a university/master's degree or equivalent as the basis for your career. You are fluent in English. The successful candidate will have shown a winning attitude and great persona in combination with a strong track record and references.
The position reports to Vice President Cluster Europe Business Unit Chassis.
Location & Timeline
The position is based in Gothenburg. Travel is expected but we highly value work/life balance.
