As Director Finance and Business control your main responsibility is to ensure business controlling management and development to ensure profitable growth in Fazer Retail Business Unit (BU). Your team will consist of two country controllers, that work with each country to improve the efficiencies of store & production operations, support in financial planning and optimize operations, ultimately ensuring maximized profits.
Your key tasks will include;
• Leading the finance team, develop competence and organizing people and processes
• Build an effective and collaborative partnership with the country managers to ensure all financial needs regarding daily operations, budget and portfolio are met
• Guide the business unit's target setting with relevant KPIs and ensure key initiative prioritization to maximize business performance
• Secure sufficient accounting processes are in place to measure monthly performance per store unit
• Identify areas of sales, margin & cost-reduction opportunity and risk and perform ad-hoc analyses to highlight potential impact
• Work cross functionally with business partners such as marketing, concept development and real estate in understanding the impact of promotional strategies, pricing, merchandising and store location development
• Evaluate and decide on investments and budgets
• Providing monthly and yearly forecasting, reporting and presentations
• Lead yearly strategy process in BU
• Ensure all financial activities comply with financial regulations
Your position will be located either in Stockholm, Sweden or in Vantaa, Finland, but frequent travels will be required. You will report to the Managing Director, Fazer Retail Business Unit, and functionally to Group Controller. You will also be a member of the Retail BU management team.

What you'll bring to the team
We expect you to be commercially minded and have a strong orientation to strategic thinking and development. You have experience from retail and/or direct to consumer business, preferably in a multi-unit environment. You are proactive, externally focused and future oriented. You are expected to partner up with different functions outside finance and build a strong network within the retail BU and its dependencies and in collaboration with the teams on different levels build business plans and define ways to identify gaps and opportunities. You are equipped with a strong sense of urgency and you want to find out what really drives the business forward and define ways to measure and report on the key indicators of it. Taking on new challenges is part of your own personal development. You have strong leadership skills and are comfortable working under pressure and driving change at the same time. Your strengths include analytical, process-oriented and consistent approach and you have good collaboration and interpersonal skills. You are convincing negotiator, you manage well complexity and uncertainty and you have an ability to use modern technology and tools at work. Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and other Scandinavian language are mandatory in this position. We expect you to hold a Master's degree in a suitable field. Extensive traveling is needed as business is currently based in two countries.
