The Emission Compliance Department is now looking for a new manager.
About us
The Emission Compliance department is responsible for securing compliance with emission regulations for Volvo Penta products globally. Emission Compliance participate during all phases of the products life cycle from early involvement in the development of new regulations, through emission testing and certification as well as required certificate maintenance activities such as component updates, reporting and production testing.
Position description
In this position you will lead the emission compliance work within Volvo Penta.
The department contains of two subgroups with appointed managers as well as direct reports. In total the department contains of 26 highly skilled team members placed in Sweden, US, China and South Korea.
Since interaction with both external and internal contacts is crucial for achieving results, good networking and communication skills are of high importance.
You will report to the VP Quality, Environment and Product Compliance and be a part of Quality, Environment and Product Compliance management team.
Core responsibilities
Lead the Emission Compliance department both on strategic, tactical and operational level
You will lead, support and motivate the team members and secure competence development
Secure a healthy work environment for the Emission Compliance team.
Set the standard and direction for emission compliance work within Volvo Penta
Secure necessary network both within AB Volvo and outside
Keep up a good dialogue and relation with authorities and other counterparts
Desirable experience and qualifications
Proven leadership competence, capabilities and interest
Experience from emission compliance area or other product compliance areas
Knowledge of regulatory work preferably related to emission compliance
Insight into product development
Experience of working with authorities
High integrity
Master of Science degree or similar level of education
A structured and accurate way of working
Fluent in Swedish and English is a minimum. Other language skills are welcome
Good communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and in discussions
