Risk assessment and fraud prevention is at the core of our business. Our portfolio is continuously growing in size and complexity as we introduce new markets, payment options and products. The Credit Risk division?s main responsibilities are to handle and mitigate Klarna?s different exposures to risk, primarily fraud and credit, minimizing data costs, maximizing approval rate and revenues and represent the risk perspective in cross functional projects. All of this is to make sure that Klarna really is the simplest, safest and smartest way to buy online.

Are you our new Director Data Science?

The Credit Risk division is divided into several teams with their unique responsibilities. However, there is of course one thing in common for all of them - they consist of highly-intelligent, driven and brilliant people with great analytical skills. Now we are looking for an Director to lead our Data Science-team, consisting of 3 divisions; Applied Modelling, Modelling Core and BRMS Architect. You will be an important part in fostering a global team culture that embraces a technical and analytical mindset and taking Klarna to the next level within Data Science.

Who are we looking for?

You are an experienced leader and have a pragmatic approach to motivate your teams. You have experience working with analytics, data science or credit modellering and has a stellar record delivering high value as a result oriented leader. You have a passion for solving complex business problems and an ability to efficiently challenge status quo. Most importantly you want to face new challenges. Leading and developing a crucial part of a profitable, rapidly expanding fintech company to a global level will definitely bring challenges that you haven?t seen before.
