We design, engineer and build Scandinavian luxury cars that understand people - cars with an exceptional personality in both design and engineering. What 's in it for you?
We are now looking for a skilled Director for Comfort Functions. This section is responsible for developing technical solutions for switches, system solutions and ECU's related to comfort functions in all vehicle lines within Volvo Cars. We are working in close collaboration with Design department and Vehicle hardware. The total area of responsibility include all development and strategy phases together with procurement.
The section consists of approx. 80 employees. Out of these approximately 20 employees are working at another unit. The section is in the middle of the transformation into an agile development way of working, and has performed several PI planning's.
As a Director, you will be part of the Department Management Team. The department includes three more sections, Power and Energy, Security and Body electronics as well as Electrical Infrastructure. We are approximately 550 employees.
What you will do
* Build, align and develop your organization in close collaboration with related operative roles
* Build an empowered leadership team, focusing speed and quality of your main value flow
* Collaborate with your leadership team, incl. operative roles, to be attentive to needs
* Embrace real-time data transparency
* Collaborate with procurement to develop suppliers towards Agile Way of Working
* Safeguard technical strategies and set objectives accordingly
* Complete responsibility for all operations within the section
You and your skills
* Academic education at university level or equivalent
* Broad experience from Volvo Cars or other relevant industries
* Experience from leading teams
* Personal leadership skills to Create Clarity, Shows courage and Empower teams
* You have endurance and like to solve problems
* Knowledge of Agile development and SAFe framework.
