Director - Clutch, shifting and oil systems

Powertrain Engineering at CEVT is responsible for the development of Hybrid and Electric Propulsion Systems. It includes all sub-systems such as electric machine, inverters, torque transfer, clutch, actuation systems and oil, as well as the controls associated with these systems. We are driven by innovation and provide complete solutions to all customers in the Geely group.

As Director for the clutch, shifting and oil system team, you will be responsible to lead and develop a team, set up process and deliver technologies in a given time and budget frames.

We are looking for a driven leader with ability to inspire, drive, motivate and coach direct reports; leaders and/or employees. You have a flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions, and combine strategic mindset with operational work.

You will report to the Vice President Powertrain Engineering Hardware Design.

Responsibilities and tasks

* Be overall responsible with global functional lead of the technology development when it comes to clutch, shifting and oil system within given timeframe and cost frame
* Lead and develop technology strategies in the field of clutch, shifting and oil systems
* Evaluate and sign-off technical concepts and solutions for modules within defined requirements and defined targets (cost, package, weight, ...)
* Manage and execute releases for modules and systems, including ECN sign-off
* Execute change management during the whole lifecycle for modules and systems
* Develop and maintain commonality across different projects
* Employee lifecycle responsibility for direct reports including recruitment, performance and competence development. Provide coaching and guidance to employees to ensure deliveries and personal development.
* Employer responsibility including salary setting, work environment responsibility and union negotiation for the department.
* Set and follow up targets for the department
* Contribute to the management team for the function unit
* Build up, develop and long term secure the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the module team

Job Requirements

* Technical experience in the field of transmission
* At least ten years of experience in automotive industry
* Ability to build high performing and diverse team with a strong team spirit.
* Cultural awareness and interest in diversity
* A flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions
* A creative and analytical mindset to handle complex problems
* Ability to communicate clearly and be perceptive
* Excellent presentation skills
