The location of this position is optional but preferably you should be based close to any Axis office. This position have a global responsibility and requires travelling.

Axis is expanding its worldwide sales and marketing organization to help meet growing market demand. This expansion will enable Axis to better serve the current and future needs of our customers and partners and will specifically include more corporate and regional resources to support vertical industry sectors and technology partners.

As a result of this expansion Axis is adding a central resource within the global industry segment organization. We are therefore looking for the right person to take on the responsibility as Director, Business Development Oil & Gas.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Director, Business Development Oil & Gas will be responsible for driving the strategy for the Oil & Gas market within Axis on a global level from a sales, marketing and product perspective. He/she is the owner of the strategy and business plan and will set the overall sales goals for the segment.

The holder of this position will be in charge of the budget for the initiatives within the segment and it will be his/her responsibility to prioritize and manage product solution initiatives and bring them to the market. He/She will coordinate the actions for the marketing solutions and initiate End-Customer business development efforts.

Another dimension of this position is to prioritize and introduce new key segment partners in the eco-system as well as manage Axis representation in key industry associations and lobbying forums. This person will also support our sales regions and the future network of business development managers.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that the suitable candidate have good experience from the IT or security field in the Oil & Gas sector. Most likely you have had a senior and strategic role in the sector as a Sales Manager/Business Development Manager/Marketing Manager/Product Manager etc. with strategic responsibility.

We also think you have expirience from field sales, facing customers and being close to the market.

We think you have a good holistic view, analytical skills and an experience from creating strategies and bringing them to actions. In order to thrive in the position we believe that you are passionate about what you do and that you are proactive and independent in thoughts and actions as well as a very good communicator. You are well structured and able to explain complex matters in an easy way.

Other important qualifications are:

• Relevant academic degree
• 5-10 years of experience from international business management
• 5-10 years of experience from the IT or security field in the Oil & Gas market
• Expertice in delivering sales within the Oil, Gas, Offshore and/or Marine sector
• Expertise in ATEX Directive components and the IECEx Scheme is very valuable
• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Other languages are additional
• High level of integrity
