The Job

Director Business Development is a new global role and will be an addition to HemoCue 's resources that manage the international aid funded business. Responsibilities include identifying funding for relevant international aid initiatives and support in managing to have HemoCue 's solutions to be offered, procured and implemented as per the aid initiative plan. Examples of funding organizations are USAID and Australian Aid and implementing organizations for example Macro and local Ministry of Health, in some cases in collaboration with HemoCue 's local distributors. Further important responsibility is to manage the specific tender companies that in some situations offer HemoCue products to these aid programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Establish coherent and state-of-the art sales strategy for the function, taking into account competitive intelligence
Perform full covering aid funding initiative overview and tender company partner list. Action planning and forceful execution
Optimize the tender offering process to support profit targets, end-customer needs, partner expectations and local market priorities and requirements
Drive top-line through coordination, training and allocation of distributors and field force in aid funding program tender wins
Work collaboratively across functions including Marketing, Sales and Customer Operations & Supply to manage resource demands
Map relevant banks (contacts, processes) and regions where health related projects are supported by the specific (bank) funding instrument
Map HemoCue and competition installed base in aid receiving markets
Identify Private Public Partnership opportunities
Estimated number of travel days is a minimum 80 days per year.

MBA or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Finance or equivalent and minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
Substantial experience in developing innovative sales strategies and experience of managing both direct sales force and channel routes to market. Provide credibility to strategies at all levels of national/country/regional organizations.
Result driven, proactive and a systematic personality, problem-solving oriented way of thinking, high energy with drive and the ability to balance between own and others interest and view of opinions
Interpersonal skills with confident and influential leadership qualities, to in an informal way, create and lead a cohesive, focused, and motivated team. Ability to identify performance barriers and timely deliver under challenging circumstances
Adapt to changing circumstances, flexible, inter-cultural, global mindset. Ability to motivate people with different backgrounds and skill levels.
Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical skills as well as solid business acumen, experience in profit and loss management and growth achievements.
High degree of customer focus, strong clinical & technical understanding.
Experienced IT user, competency preferably with solid knowledge of MS CRM and MS Outlook
Perfect English in speech and writing are is required
