The location of this position is optional but preferably you should be based close to any Axis office. This position have a global responsibility and requires extensive travelling.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? As member of Axis Global Sales Solution group you will be responsible for Axis access control sales strategy on a global basis. Axis entered the access control industry in US a year ago, and now we are expanding our productline throughout the regions. In this role you will work closely with the regions as a knowledge provider, supporting them with the development of their access control business. Furthermore you will coordinate and share best practices between the different markets.

Your main activities will include but are not limited to:

• Support the development of the sales strategies in the regions. In each region we have a dedicated Business Development Manager for access control who is the primary contact person.
• Coordinate multiregional access control partners to ensure that we capitalize on joint business opportunities in different countries.
• Meet with large end customers to support regional and global inititiatives.
• Interact with product management and provide input for the development of the access control product portfolio.
• Work closely with marketing to develop relevant communication and sales tools.
• Be a spokesperson when it comes to access control in the industrial press and other media.
• Work in industry forums to establish Axis as key player in the access control space.

The location for this position is open as long as the individual is keen on travelling, as the position demands frequent trips to Sweden.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? You have a background from an international business environment, and at least ten years experience from the access control industry in either a sales or product management role.

You are a person who thrives on seeing the success of the regions as a result of your support and knowledge sharing. We believe that you are passionate about what you do and, that you are proactive and independent in thought and action. Furthermore you are an excellent communicator as your networking abilities will be crucial to your success within the role.

In addition we believe you have/are:

• A strategic mindset, yet enjoy working hands on to move things forward
• Comfortable with communicating at all levels in the organization and understand the value of building long term relationships
• Proven track record from development and execution of business plans
• Comfortable in working in different cultural environments
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• A commercial Bachelor degree, University education or equivalent

The right candidate must also be keen on travelling. This is a global role and extensive travel is necessary.

ORGANIZATIONAs Director of Business Development - Access Control you will be part of the Global Sales Solution group. The group is responsible for setting the solution sales strategies for video management solutions, hosted video solutions, industry segment solutions as well as access control on a global basis.
