Director Business Control, Product Development
We are looking for an experienced business controller to lead business controlling within Volvo Penta's Product Development organization. Managing product development projects end to end including market launch as well as product maintenance and technology development the PD organization has great influence on the financial performance as well as future business of Volvo Penta. Therefore we are looking for a Director Business Control who has the interest and ability to span the entire development process.
In this role you will have leadership over a smaller team of business and project controllers. It is important to stress that this is a very operational role where you manage core processes such as reporting and budgeting and also put emphasis on improving work processes. Therefore we are looking for a hands-on individual with practical experience from business controlling who has already retained the necessary understanding of Volvo Group routines and systems.
The successful candidate has good business- and customer orientation as well as strong analytical capability and communication skills. You are a flexible person showing drive and commitment to delivering results.
The Director Business Control reports to the Vice President Product Development and will be part of the PD management team.
Key Responsibilities
As Director Business Control you will have the following key responsibilities.
• Budgeting and reporting. You control and monitor the process of budgeting, reporting and monitoring of the PD organization that covers up to 400 resources and a development budget of < 1BSek.
• Management role. You will lead and develop the people in your team as well as taking responsibility for the development of working processes and practices within your area of responsibility in the quest for continuous improvement
• Member of the PD management team. The PD management team covers all core processes of Product Development, including Project management, Design, Verification & Validation, Documentation and Support processes. Each individual in the team has a great opportunity to influence the future of Volvo Penta.

Competence Profile & Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you should have experience from:
• Business & Project Controlling. You have experience from business controlling in a project environment. You are skilled in Volvo Group financial reporting processes as well as systems.
• Analysis & Communication. You can easily structure and analyze complex data sets using relevant tools like Excel. You package and present data in a way that provides an efficient and relevant decision-making.
• Business understanding. The successful candidate understands business and how to prioritize between activities to make as much positive impact on the business as possible.
• Leadership. You have responsibility over a team of business- and projects controllers. You are capable to develop a plan for the PD controlling support and engage the team in building the necessary processes and skills to execute the plan.
We expect you are a social person with strong relationship capabilities who enjoy working with others in flexible team constellations.
We believe you have a University degree as the basis for your career. You are fluent in English as well as Swedish, both in business and privately as well as in speaking and writing.
