Director Brand Design, Ericsson

Ericsson has with a clearly defined brand strategy and master brand architecture set out to transform and reposition Ericsson to support the continuous development of the business and position on the market. The overall objective of the Brand Management function is to drive this transformation to add value to the current core business of Ericsson and guide our business in its transformation for long term growth.
The Brand Management function drives development of brand methodologies, processes and tools as well as serving as a knowledge center of excellence and support to the Ericsson organization in day-to-day brand related issues.

In the position as Director Brand Design you will be assigned with the following key responsibilities:

Develop and continuously evolve Ericsson design strategy and guidelines for visual and graphical solutions including applications ranging from product design, interaction design and packaging to marketing communication.
Overall responsible for development and implementation of the corporate and visual identity across channels and functions.
Initiate and manage brand design development projects as well as participating as expert in design management in group wide collaboration projects within the Ericsson organization.
Build-up and manage the Brand Design discipline, through identifying and fostering the network of relevant professional individuals throughout the Ericsson organization globally.
Follow and foresee societal and behavioral developments, and how that will affect future designs of products, services and interfaces.
Develop a strong, clearly defined design vision based on the brand- and design strategies.

Your profile

You will be working tightly with the global network of brand management resources in the regions, business units and group functions in addition to the brand design community. This includes the ability to steer and motivate the organization towards a common goal without monetary or line management tools" (lead trough inspiration rather than limitation)

Competence requirements

Degree in industrial and/or graphic design with a minimum of 7 years of work experience in leading design role for agencies or corporations, and a proven eye for media, user experience, and interaction design.
Strong experience and track-record from working with commercial design solutions in larger organization with strong background in digital and automated design.
Proven track record of connecting design value with business value, strong in packaging message, stories and concepts.
Previous experience in brand management, branding and visual identity development is preferred.
Strong overall business acumen and knowledge of the ICT Industry
Proven leadership, strategy, analytics, communication and management skills
Experience in managing high volume of work and understanding of project management best practices
Demonstrated success in building and managing virtual teams as well as the ability to steer and motivate the organization towards a common goal
Ability to identify, use and leverage specific development projects to use as prototypes and best practices of enterprise-wide designs
Outstanding organizational and communication skills
Fluent in written and spoken English.
