Description
As Automation Solutions Director you are overall responsible for the development and life cycle of our plant and capital equipment automation platforms. Additionally, you are responsible for Tetra Pak's integrated automation solution offer across both the processing and packaging business. Our solutions are sold and delivered to our customers by our market companies.
The Automation Solutions organisation has 80 employees covering development engineers, project management and technology specialists. It is divided into three operations in Lund, Sweden, Modena, Italy and Pune, India.
You will be a member of the management team and report to the Vice President Plant Sales & Engineering, as well as indirect reporting to the VP Technology & Service Product.
The position is based in Lund, Sweden and requires approximately 25% travelling.
Main responsibilities
• Understand the market requirements and follow up on the strategy and road maps.
• Lead the development and the lifecycle of the automation platforms and applications.
• Set objectives and targets and drive the organisation to fulfil the critical success factors.
• Ensure availability of the resources and the competence needed.
• Drive partnership and supplier agreements.
• Evaluate and follow new technology development on the market to be incorporated in the future automation/soft ware platforms.
• Drive a seamless and transparent cooperation with the different organisations within Tetra Pak (Clusters, Processing Solutions, DSO, SC and M&PM).
Qualifications
You are a skilled communicator and experienced in managing other managers and employees. You possess strong intercultural awareness and are comfortable working in an environment requesting high level of stake holder management.
You have a solid understanding of systems integration and how software (integration and applications) is used in commercial business. You have an established network in the software industry and experience from managing suppliers and partnerships. Control systems experience is advantageous.
You are proficient in both written and spoken English and we believe you have obtained a MSc. or equivalent.
