As our current Test and Verifications director is moving on to new challenges within Axis we are now looking for his replacement.
The Quality Assurance Department incorporates four units (Embedded Testing, Application Testing, Hardware Testing and Environments & Tools) constituting a total of 25 employees. The department focuses on product testing, verification and lab management with the primary goal to make sure that our products meet our high quality requirements when released from R&D. Our principal collaboration partners are developers, project management and product management.
As Director of the department you will have the overall responsibility for Test and Verification at Axis. You will have 10 people reporting to you including the engineering manager of the embedded testing team. Your main tasks will be to do:
• Long term planning, vision, goal setting
• Allocation of resources to projects
• Appraisal, development and salary talks
• Recruitment of additional team members
• Teambuilding
• Budgeting
• Decision making and counseling on testing matters
• Providing insight into where the company is going, using information from other groups and departments.
You will report to the Vice President of R & D.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
You have a master's in electrical engineering, computer science or similar and several years experience from test engineering, management and product development. You have good management and leadership skills, and are a communicative, organized person. More specifically we believe you have:
• A Master of Science degree in Computer Science or similar
• Test Engineering experience for at least 5 years
• Extensive R&D experience for at least 10 years
• Experience in managing technical teams
• Mentoring, leadership and team building skills
