We currently have the following job opening;
Director - ME Strategy & Business Development
In this position, it requires that you act as global coordinator/specialist for Manufacturing Engineering strategy and business development at CEVT and Geely.
In early phases and concept studies you need to provide up front input to product planning, styling and product engineering, concerning Manufacturing Strategies, Cycle Plans, Manufacturability/Feasibility and reduced manufacturing complexity to secure production of the products.
As this position also includes Business Development, you will also optimize the operational efficiency at Manufacturing Engineering CEVT aligned with common ways of working within CEVT and other stakeholders in the Geely group.
Some of the work tasks you can find below
• Drive Process Driven Product design and align the CEVT/Geely ME community to ensure "one voice" of manufacturing engineering requirements in strategic and early project concept studies.
• Drive and coordinate development of a common ME business management system, ensuring the application and fulfillment of all external and CEVT internal guidelines in respect to all business aspects.
• Drive and coordinate global strategic planning initiatives such as manufacturing footprint optimization, engineering efficiency improvement etc.
• Accountable to keep the set targets for the department concerning financial and HC.
• Lead department of highly qualified manufacturing engineers and process developers including all technical, organizational and HR related aspects. You will have full employee lifecycle responsibility for direct reports including recruitment, performance management and competence development.
Your Profile
• A University degree as a certified engineer in mechanical engineering, automotive process engineering or industrial engineering, or relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience of manufacturing related work in the automotive industry
• Cross functional assignments and global experience
• Broad knowledge concerning the production of single parts, assembly and manufacturing methods, design features, planning processes & quality requirements on complete vehicle.
• High level of analytical, oral and written communication ability.
• Comfort with stretched targets/challenges while acting professionally in a matrix team.
• You have leadership skills with ability to lead, inspire and coach people and build high performing team.
• Thorough knowledge of the Manufacturing Engineering process, the effect on the production process due to decisions in the product development process and surrounding processes to Manufacturing Engineering.
As we are a global company you also need to be able to travel on a regular basis, mainly to China.
