The Incident and Crisis Management (ICM) unit of Vattenfall provide the Vattenfall Group with a proactive capability to handle incidents and crisis. The ambition is to avoid them, but if they occur ICM shall ensure capability to act rapidly and accurate. The ICM unit operates in a continuous cycle in the daily life of Vattenfall. By monitoring and analyzing Vattenfall operation and the world around the Vattenfall Group ICM provide situational awareness and decision support. The perspective is holistic to detect any deviations or events that might lead to incidents or crisis. As well, ICM develops, implement and support the Vattenfall Group with policies and instructions for incident and crisis handling. Another important task is to review and train the CMT-teams in Vattenfall. During an incident the ICM unit coordinates efforts and support to the affected part of Vattenfall to handle the incident or crises at hand. After an incident the ICM unit support and run a lesson-learned process. We are now looking for a Direct Incident Manager (DIM).

Responsibilities
Under Head of ICM, the Direct Incident Manager is responsible for the ICM system for immediate incident response. Your responsibility includes monitoring the daily overall operational and communicative situation within the Group, detecting and reporting any deviations from normal. Your duty includes also developing and leading the daily work in Vattenfall Situation Room including daily situational briefings with all markets, information management (logging and judging incoming information and report to management levels) as well as to train and lead a Crises Management Team.

You interact with the ICM analysis process to ensure situational awareness as well as availability of infrastructure and personnel to handle any situation beyond the normal.
You develop rapidly a wide network of contacts across the Vattenfall group.

Qualifications
Relevant university education ( economics, social sciences, engineering, IT or equivalent, or alternatively) or education in crisis management at strategic level.

You have excellent computer experience as well as interest in and knowledge about information technology.

Your social skills are documented and well received.

Experience of working in a leading position to handle unexpected and stressful situations is a merit, as well as experience of working at strategic level in a large international organization.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required. German, Polish, Dutch Language or Finnish is meritorious.

Personal Requirements
You have good judgment ability, high stress level, you are fast thinking and structured, stable and supportive, trustworthy, loyal and committed with high integrity and responsibility. You have a pronounced ability to cooperate and you are a problem solver.

You have good ability to present complex issues verbally and in writing with short time to prepare. Your ability to make quick but sound deliberate decisions is well developed. You find it easy to switch between detail focus and strategic understanding and to put details into a larger context. as well as to prioritize. The position requires good analytical skills to be able to see the context and consequences.

The position is located at Sturegatan 10, Stockholm until August when we are moving to Solna Arendastaden
