Your knowledge in trucks and truck business will be useful in your daily work as well as your networking and leadership skills. Probably enjoy working strategically and can motivate yourself in solving complex problems.
The dimension architect is the key person in all questions regarding the truck's legal dimensions - mainly height, length and width but also functional dimensions like turning radius and ground clearance. It is about being a stakeholder and solution provider in early phase before project start, and to contribute to future ranges' architecture.
The dimension architect is also the key person in IT and PDM questions related to Volvo's Engineering Database. Both maintenance of the database and development of future functionality is in the hands of the dimension architect. There is a very close cooperation with Group IT and the dimension architect is the link between Group IT and engineering.
In project phase, the dimension architect works with management of the offering to secure legal dimension fulfillment and in late phases verifying calculated data and secure that measured and calculated data correlates.
This is an assignment for the experienced truck engineer with a good understanding of truck configuration and truck usage. The person is comfortable using the Volvo PDM systems like KOLA, EDB and also CAD tools and probably has a good network in Volvo group.
