The mission for the role
We are looking for someone who can rock the world as a Digital Service Platform Lead for. Overall, you will design, lead and create the Volvo CE Digital Service Platform. This means that you among other will structure and secure solutions to complex technical challenges. You will apply your expertise in creating, developing, and building service platforms with the goal of enabling the product teams to deliver services quickly and to a premium experience for end users. To guide the short- and long term plans you will advocate and implement sustainable best-practices and develop the technical strategy. Furthermore, you will create tooling to enable Teams to build micro services quicker, safer and with scalability in mind.
Who are you?
If your previous roles have been Architect, senior DevOps Engineer or senior Developer, then you might have the right background for this position.
We believe that you have a strong business mind, great technical understanding and that you are passionate about software development. You see yourself as a Developer/DevOps engineer by heart and leader by nature. Since you will collect feedback from Domain Service teams, structure it and channel it to your team we see that you have the ability to offer feedback and coach teams and individuals in their ongoing development. We also believe that you will provide context, support and guidance as the team works toward business objectives - you want to inspire, not merely direct.
Required knowledge and experiences:
Leading a small team
Setting up edge and cloud solutions
Azure DevOps, AWS, Google Could Platform, PaaS
Automating CI/CS, service creation and monitoring
Microservices
Creating achievable goals and seeing them come to fruition
