Digital platform Products is a key partner to enable our business strategic ambition to complement and enhance our vehicles, enable new business models and increase the pace of innovation throughout the enterprise.
We are looking for a passionate Digital Product Owner who can deliver great business value. You will head the Public Cloud Enablement product which supports Volvo Cars in enabling the strategic goals by providing safe, modern and evergreen cloud foundation services in close co-operation with business stakeholders as well as Platform colleagues.
As a Product Owner you need to be a role model by utilizing agile methods and SAFE framework principles to create business value continuously. And of course, have lots of fun while doing it.
What you'll do
As product owner your main responsibilities will be to develop, articulate and consistently emphasize the short- and long-term vision, roadmap and backlog of the product to the product team and relevant stakeholders. You will own, prioritize and facilitate the refinement of our product's backlog to ensure that the agile product team is delivering the right features to improve customer and business value.
You are in constant dialogue with our business stakeholders globally, the digital community and with external parties globally. The services are supporting all parts of our business, so securing operational stability and great work ethic is a vital part of the role.
The Public Cloud Enablement product makes sure that our public clouds are used in a safe, efficient and robust way to have a stable platform while upholding relevant polices and frameworks.
You will work with our suppliers and optimize the cooperation models with them.
Finally, you will develop financials associated with the assigned digital product and proactively develop the product strategically with a focus on long-term sustainability and exceeding high standards.
Do you fit the profile?
You have experience of a leading position - building digital product strategy as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst or similar for a minimum of 2 years.
A product owner needs a deep understanding of the need and pain points of the target customers and be able to prioritize features and functionality that will deliver the most value to the customers.
* You have a documented experience of working with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
* You have experience in supplier management, negotiations, writing agreements, related requirements and outcome.
* You are experienced in agile development methodologies (SAFe or similar) and working in product teams.
* You are data driven in your approach to making decision and measuring your successes.
We believe you have:
* Minimum a university or IT degree at a Bachelor level or equivalent work experience
* Experience of Agile processes (Scrum & SAFe)
* You are fluent in English, both verbally and written.
It is meritorious if you have:
* Knowledge and experience regarding Compute, Network and data services
* Developer background
* Experience of automotive business
Who are you?
You have a good understanding of cloud computing technologies, the cloud service market & competitive landscape, how they can be used to deliver value to the business and high user experience.
As a person you are open minded, curious about technology, you like to try out new things and are confident that the best is yet to come! It is important to be able to explain complex technical concepts in simple language to our various stakeholders and also be able to listen actively to feedback from others.
