Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S) is a new entity within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport solutions never seen before. We accelerate the development, commercialization, and sales of autonomous transport solutions, focusing on defined segments for the on- and off-road space. The Digital and IT team is a new and growing team at Volvo Autonomous Solutions. Our mission is to enable the digital side of V.A.S. to transform from an internal start-up to a scale up. We work with our customers and partners to enable digital business models. We facilitate the work inside V.A.S. to secure that we have the right tools for the job and to succeed we fluently mix working with ambitious strategies as well as with hands on implementations.
Who are you?
As we don't know you yet, we might not have everything right about your background. But when we imagine who you are we believe that you speak the language of logistics and transportation, and that you seek the adventure that comes with building a new business. As a foundation, you have a relevant University degree or equivalent professional experience. You have a track record of project or program management or with IT components, preferably leading implementation project that involve multiple customers and partners.
Additional competences are:
Experience from leading customer facing projects
Experience from SaaS implementations and leading UX/integration activities
A customer, innovation and business development-oriented mind-set
Good interpersonal and leadership skills: ability to effectively collaborate, network and interface with a wide variety of colleagues on different levels, across functions and geographies
Good analytical and planning skills and proven capacity to execute against targets
What will you do?
You will lead the work to integrate several solutions into a consistent solution landscape that fulfils the customer needs in the Hub-2-Hub segment and delivers an outstanding customer experience. Transportation is an integration heavy business, so to provide our customers with the right information about our capacity and the status of their shipments at the right time though the appropriate digital interfaces one of the keys to success, and a foundation for scaling our business.
Additional responsibilities are:
Represent D&IT in various steering committees, internally and with our partners and customers.
Manage interface with customers and business partners
Accountable for value realization
The location for this position is Greensboro, NC - United States or Fort Worth, TX - United States. We offer possibilities for a flexible hybrid work model, but are not looking for candidates that are 100% remote.
