Insert Production consists of global product units (PUs) that produces high performance inserts, which requires state of the art manufacturing technology. As we're continuing our digital journey, we're now looking for a Digital Portfolio Manager to join our team in a global role where you drive improvements to ensure that we always work with cutting-edge technology and methods.
Your mission
As Digital Portfolio Manager, you're the owner and creator of our digital portfolio and, in cooperation within the different divisions throughout Sandvik Machining Solutions, your aim is to ensure continuous improvement of Inserts Production and of our PUs globally. You contribute to making this happen leading and driving global projects and initiatives, ensuring efficient collaborations, carrying out best practices and implementing new ways of working. By evaluating alternatives from a business, cost and service perspective, you propose and carry out needs and decisions regarding investments and projects.
Along with this, you have operational responsibility for the execution of our company's strategy. You work in close collaboration with our management teams to ensure alignment between the different development plans and our long-term strategy, while providing support in the continuous development of our operations. As a member of the steering groups in your areas, you act as Inserts Production's ambassador, and you also support in various activities, studies and initiatives.
The location for this position is preferably Sandviken, Sweden, while other Coromant sites globally may be an option. Global travel is included in the assignment.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with solid experience from Production Engineering, IT, R&D or Logistics, perhaps from a management position within the manufacturing industry. You have experience from Industry 4.0., Big Data and Predicted Analytics, combined with a genuine interest for finding the essence in the data and translating it into actions and possibilities. With your skills in change management and a strategic understanding of the business, you use your analytical mindset and self-motivating abilities to move things forward - always keeping possible improvements in mind.
Your open mind and social skills allow you to cooperate effortlessly with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels and across geographical boundaries. With a confident - yet humble - approach, you drive development and initiate improvements in a way that creates trust and respect throughout the organization. Your skills and personality are backed by a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Logistics or Finance. Since we act on a truly global stage, you communicate effortlessly in English.
