An exciting opportunity for somebody who thrives within a fast paced and challenging start-up organisation, to build and manage the development and ongoing operation of our digital and commerce platforms.

In this role, you will have the opportunities to combine technology with business initiatives to provide real value add. You will initiate and manage strategic and tactical work streams to develop and then maintain new and existing digital Omni-channel environment.

The role will support and lead the development and formation of the Digital and Consumer Connected Services section of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive a strategic work stream defining our Digital Ecosystem and governance structure for digital services at Polestar
• Developing the capability and competency within the IT community and the wider business community to manage and balance the ongoing demands of the customers, the new business initiatives, and on-going support
• Close collaboration with the global Volvo Cars team, selected suppliers and partners

Functional Responsibilities:

• Identify opportunities for innovation and optimisation, with appropriate vendors, platforms and partnerships to satisfy them. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices
• Translating complex requirements into clear and manageable plans.
• Guide and drive project / delivery teams with how to design, develop and integrate components.

Experience Needed:

• A strong track record of performing a similar role
• A track record leading & managing teams within a project delivery or IT development environment
• Exceptional cross functional collaboration and an ability to excel in matrix work environments, where requirements can be often ambiguous
• Good experience in successfully delivering within a digital environment and up-to date digital knowledge skill set including the principles of AGILE
• Excellent communications and presentation skills
• Excellent experience in developing relationships with diverse stakeholders across the full cross section of business functions including external partners and suppliers
• Ideally educated to degree level or a recognized professional qualification
