You will be a critical team member to implement a new Foundation for People Management solutions and contribute to a new HR Digital Landscape.
You have proven training in information, computer science or equivalent. You have minimum 5 years of experience as software engineer and/or solution architect with experience/knowledge in various tech stacks. You are also experienced with the agile principles, CI/CD and DevOps practices. Experience in working as software engineer or technology architect will be a plus for the position as well as managing operations and on-going maintenance of systems /solutions.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• Knowledge of operations engineering practices including design, documentation, test automation, DevOps, with experience of using industry standard toolsets
• Knowledge of toolsets such as Visual Studio, GCP, nginx, MySQL, Consul, Kubernetes, Kafka, Chef, Puppet, Varnish as well as different coding languages
• Knowledge of working in agile/iterative software development teams, with an emphasis on selforganisation and delivery to agreed commitments
• Knowledge of design and architecture concepts (i.e. microservices) and ability to apply knowledge within the development cycle
• Knowledge of agile development practices, in which requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing crossfunctional teams
• Knowledge of IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people

You have proven abilities in developing high quality code using and applying good practices, in agile working - continuous improvement within the software engineering function, in changing direction as appropriate (based on new ideas, approaches, and strategies, with senior guidance), in collaborating with others (incl. virtual) to achieve goals, and in understanding the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business. You actively acquire new knowledge and skills and leverages new methods, digital systems and processes to improve performance.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Digital Technology Engineer you will manage and build frameworks, as well as designing how these frameworks tie together to construct a platform that applications and ultimately products can be built on.
You will:
• Support all parts of delivering new (or adding functionality in our existing) products
o Solution Design for product, including data/information/hosting models as well as techniques
o Development/Scripting as well as configuring datasets
o Test
o Deployment
• Support maintaining, upgrading, optimizing and ensuring maximum uptime of live, pre-production and dev environments
o Monitoring, running edge proxies, operating databases and caches
o Running message brokers and distributed system services
o Running schedulers and configuring servers
o Support in managing DNS setups across various hosted providers
o Support renewal of SSL certs
o Configuring firewalls, subnets, or VLANS
o Troubleshooting and fixing (or escalating) application, network, system and database issues
• Apply and adhere to good digital operations engineering practices within an agile/iterative development approach
• Provide support and guidance as needed to other engineers within the development team encouraging good practices
• Work across initiatives within INGKA Group, helping to steer towards data-driven solutions
In this role you will report to the Engineering Manager.

We set the digital agenda to keep IKEA leading in an uncertain and fast-moving environment. We drive the development, provision and operation of our digital products and services through the use of new and existing technology and agile delivery methods to deliver at pace.
At the same time, we provide a home for digital skills to both develop and extend the technical, people and business skills needed to ensure continuous development and growth of our digital capability.
For this role we have several open positions. This role is located in Helsingborg.
