To be able to succeed in the role we want you to have proven training in technology, computer science, business administration or equivalent. You have a minimum of 2-3 years of diverse experience in retail, e-commerce, digital channels and supplier management as well as experience in working with developing and nurturing supplier partnerships. Preferably, you also have knowledge of technology application and implementation as well as experience in a leadership role with a similar team size and impact. Good knowledge of IKEA Brand, culture, values and way of working is also an advantage.
You have knowledge in following areas:
current and emerging technology and digital consumer trends and their impacts on retail and e-commerce
understanding of investments/ partnership rationale and process, including from a technical perspective
the required digital capabilities, how to assess target companies for digital capabilities, assess value of target companies as well as knowledge of the investor market and networks
experience in business and partnership development working on strategic partnerships within the technology field
knowledge and experience of effective stakeholder management
strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with senior business- and technical leaders

As a person you are commercially minded, with a creative and strategic approach. In addition to this you also have good knowledge of business models and partnership management. By actively acquire new knowledge and skills, you champion new methods and processes to improve performance. With your strong interpersonal skills and the capability to manage both internal and external stakeholders in a business environment you effectively frame and communicate business cases, guidance design and implement the right solution. You understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business. You also demonstrate IKEA leadership skills by using sound judgements to make efficient decisions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position you will build and nurture digital and innovation partnerships, plan and execute technical explorations and manage the partnership ecosystem and lifecycle.
You will be:
accountable for the selection of potential partnership companies and initiation and oversight of an investment or partnership process for those companies
performing assessment of possible partnerships and create potential new opportunities to engage with relevant partners in a way that generates maximum value for IKEA
accountable for the development and both short-term and long-term success of a set of the partnerships
responsible for connecting investments/partnerships to senior sponsors in the organisation and facilitating integration of those partnerships into the business
responsible for peer partnership relationships including consortiums, academia, incubators and VC firms
performing initial market analysis and develop business cases to support the prioritisation and selection of potential companies to partner with
preparing presentations which outline the strategic partnership/investment rationale
working with internal and external stakeholders to identify key dependencies for deliverables
working across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering towards an environment with continuous adoption of state-of-the-art technologies that will drive business value
In this role you will report to the Ecosystems & Exploration Manager.
The location for this role is Malmö, Sweden.
