What you will do
As Digital Home and TV Network and Equipment Engineer, you will work in close collaboration with both our Network team as well as with our Consumer team. This includes Digital Home and TV network infrastructure as well as Digital Home and TV equipment such as home routers, Wi-Fi extenders, set-top boxes, and TV equipment.
This role secures the optimal function of the services from the moment the customer buys our services to the moment the customer decides to leave us.
Your tasks will be very diverse since you will cover both operative and maintenance tasks as well as contribute with your experiences to continuously improve the requirements towards our vendors for current and future products and services. You will work in close dialogue with your team and with our vendors to secure that the equipment works fine within our network, from an IP point of view, as well as security, resiliency, privacy, and integrity.
Furthermore, you will work to follow up that our services are delivered with the required quality of service to the end users and that our customers enjoy the quality of experience that our services offer them. You will be a part of our 3rd line support and be helpful in questions regarding troubleshooting and problems regarding configuration and equipment.
Finally, in this role you will have the possibility to deepen your knowledge and experience in Digital Home and TV Network and areas such as security, IP and data driven analytics. You will work towards different stakeholders, both internally and externally and be a part of an exiting journey within Telenor Sweden.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have a big interest within this area and a will to learn more. You have a good understanding of Digital Home and TV and previous experience from network environments (LAN) and home network equipment.
We look for you that have:
* An academic engineering/MSc degree on data/electronics with specialization on networking and programing,
* Experience with programming in C/C++/Perl/Python/SQL/Java/Linux
* Fluent in Swedish and English orally and in written
It is also a merit if you have:
* Experience with IP networks
* Experience working as an agent in a first line support organization of a network operator
* Knowledge about network security
