About the role
If abbreviations such as AR, VR, and IOT make you tick, it's a good start. As a Business Consultant within Digital Engineering at Volvo Trucks Technology, you'll need an elevated interest in emerging technologies and what kind of tools can take both our customers and us further.
In your role, you will spend significant time looking for opportunities to use new technologies in our product development. It means constantly scanning industry trends related to our business needs and ensuring that these influence our technological roadmap forward. But you will also focus on cooperating with our engineering community to innovate, test new inventions and transform ideas into activities. A solid and well-maintained network is essential to find inspiration, coordinate business initiatives, start collaborations, and identify opportunities, so to contribute to the portfolio and technology roadmaps.
And we've saved the best part to last. With your passion for technology, we bet you'll love being responsible for our local VR/AR test lab/playroom - a place to test and show case capabilities, use cases, new HW and SW technologies, etc.
We're looking for
• a driven, innovative, and customer-focused service pro. Responsibility and integrity run naturally in your veins, and your innate curiosity leads you to question how things are done. You're passionate about IT tools and how we can use them to bring business value and results. And even though you enjoy the teamwork and contribute to the overall spirit, you're also able to deep dive and focus on more than one area at a time to recognize dependencies and synergies.
Requirements
University degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
VR/AR knowledge
Automotive product design process experience
Experience of IT development in Process and IT projects and agile working
Next-level stakeholder management and communication skills
Fluent both in spoken and written English
