An ongoing hardware development project needs a digital design engineer for the development of a design based on Xilinx FPGAs.
Work as a Digital Designer in a hardware development team to complete a leading edge patented development project.
Candidates shall meet the following experience qualifications:
Master of Science in Electronics or Electrical engineering
FPGA design with Verilog-HDL
Using Xilinx FPGA development tools (ISE, XST)
Design of complex synchronous control logic
PLL and clock distribution
Strong architectural design skills
Knowledge of PCI, ATA, SATA interfaces and Computer Architecture
Working C/C++ knowledge
Experience in PCB design
Experience with Schematic Design and Layout
Ability to understand electronic schematics
Ability to evaluate and select electronic components
Knowledge of electronics design and implementation
Knowledge of power supply design
Familiar with some of the following: NAND Flashes, DDR2, DDR3
Strong problem solving and communication skills
Good written and spoken English
Useful experience:
Experience with FPGA Design, Schematic Design and Layout of High Speed Interfaces (SATA, DDR3, Ethernet, USB etc) and Signal Integrity.
Education:
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required; MS preferred
