We need an enthusiastic, open-minded and organized person here at Polestar to be a valuable member of our growing global Purchasing team. Digital Purchasing is responsible for the purchasing of all digital IT systems and platforms globally in a new exciting business environment working in scrums & agile work streams. We are now looking for a new Digital buyer to join the IDP team.
As a Digital buyer you will be responsible for purchasing Base Infrastructure, Consumer Digital Platforms and Digital Enterprise and Integration Services across the business to market competitive pricing and value. You will be leading the procurement, negotiations and agreements as well as supporting the future supplier strategic sourcing plan, in-line with our stakeholders. We are a global team with purchasing functions in the China, UK and U.S regions, working closely together with our Volvo Cars Group Purchase colleagues on a global basis.
This role will report directly to Polestar Purchasing Manager based in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Your contribution
• Lead sourcing projects including setting sourcing strategies, conducting request for quotations and negotiate commercial and legal agreements
• Perform procurement according to defined strategies and frameworks.
• Perform sourcing activities according to IDP sourcing processes
• Advise stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle as well as on modifications in requests.
• Track key performance indicators on supplier and stakeholder contract compliance; define and take corrective actions to improve contracts compliance and continuously track supplier performance on quality and cost.
• Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Initiate and conduct supplier evaluations and supplier audits.
• Take an active role in developing and supporting efficient standardized req-to-pay processes.
• Support and review supplier strategies, market tests, bench marking
• Purchase system ordering
Who you are
• Proven experience as a Digital buyer or similar purchasing position.
• Thorough understanding of the procurement process and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office packages; working knowledge of Volvo SRM software is a strong advantage.
• High integrity with a holistic view.
• BSc in Commercial or Technical discipline from a university degree or equivalent institution.
You are motivated and receive energy from working and communicating with diverse stakeholder groups. We also see that you are customer oriented, responsible, innovative, and driven. Strong multi-disciplinary skills with business acumen, negotiation skills & strategic planning is strongly preferred. You're a doer with solid organizational skills who has the ability to multitask and can be flexible in a growing business.
Periodically you will travel as a part of a global team and to support Polestar's truly international business.
