A digitalization strategy has been formulated that points out three areas as especially important for SSAB coming years - i) Explore ways to digitalize products and services; ii) Use digital solutions to improve the customer experience; and iii) Use new technologies to improve efficiency in our operations.
With this background SSAB has taken a decision to for a new unit called "Digital Business Development" with the task to assist the line in defining, launching and conducting digitalization projects. The work will be conducted demand driven based on the needs and funding from divisions, or other sponsoring functions. Placement is optional.
About the position
As a Digital Business Developer you would have the following tasks:
1. Project management: Act as a project manager in digitalization projects. Interact with the line organization, IT and other functions - build business cases, organize pilots and run cross-functional project teams.
2. Strategy formulation and road mapping: Help co-create and refine SSABs digitalization strategy. Assemble roadmaps for digitalization initiatives, eg. digital customer experience
3. Conduct studies in the three digitalization focus areas
4. Digital expertise and drive: Keep up to date on digitalization trends and technologies and make them understandable and assess applicability for SSAB. Inspire and drive digitalization in divisions and functions.

Your qualifications
A new candidate should ideally have strengths, or the evidence for a developing/potential strength, in the following five areas.
1. Digitalization knowledge. Has experience from creating digital customer experience and value, eg. portals, analytics, Web/CMS, etc. Able to understand customers digital footprint and derive new value propositions.
2. Project management capability. Be able to efficiently manage and deliver impact in the form of projects. Structure complex situations and problems.
3. Appetite for digital innovation. Needs to be interested and adaptive to understand the potential of new technologies. Curious and knowledge seeking
4. Consultative mindset, drive and experience. Needs to be good at consultative selling and comfortable in taking pride in helping others succeed. Show a clear drive and persistency to get things started and going.
5. Communication skills and ability to build a network within SSAB and interact with customers and other stakeholders. Ability to build understanding and alignment on complex matters.
6. Knowledge of manufacturing industry. Be able to understand the SSAB business model, priorities and issues. Be able to tailor approach taken to fit SSAB specifics.
