What we offer?
Department Process & Tryout engineering is a part of Tool&Die. Tool&Die is Volvocars internal die supplier for new car projects and handling of die changes in running production. Process and tryout engineering is responsible to create all software needed to manufacture or change die sets in tool shop. The department is now looking for a new curious team member to join their team. There will be good opportunities to competence development in a global car company. Our group with Die surface engineers consist of 6 team members who are responsible to create and/or change die face milling data for press dies.
What you will do
As a Die surface engineer you work in Tebis and/or Catia system where you develop all active surfaces and relevant data needed in press dies to be able to machine die parts with high quality optimized for tooling tryout. You are a member of a technical team working cross functional to secure quality, time and cost for each die or die set.
Our die surface engineers has a big impact in Tool&die deliveries and all improvements made from the team will gain increased output. You will have the opportunity to join several improvement projects in your career at Tool&Die.
You and your skills
* Technical college degree and/or work experience from die manufacturing or machining
* Fluent in Swedish and English
* Experience from die manufacturing and milling of steel components
* Good knowledge in working in Tebis software with creation of surfaces
* Knowledge in Catia
As a Die surface engineer you need to be calm and relaxed as a person with a high focus to always set quality as a target for all deliveries.
You feel comfortable working on your tasks respecting deadlines despite change of conditions during your work. There are always curiosity in your way of acting and you are never afraid of speaking up for your opinion. As a listener you respect different ideas and are willing to compromise and balance to gain the best result.
