We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 600 employees situated at two sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje and hybrid development, integration, controls- and transmissions development, engine development and exhaust aftertreatment in Trollhättan.
Diagnostics Calibration Engineer – Engine Management Systems
We are a department within GM Powertrain Europe, responsible for development, calibration and validation of gasoline and diesel engines and transmissions. In Trollhättan the work focuses on vehicle calibration of Engine Management Systems regarding performance, emissions, drivability and diagnostics. Our work is global with an international network and covers several GM brands.
Your responsibility is to perform development work with calibration of the diagnostics functions within the Engine Management System. The development work will be done using mainly PC-based application tools and prototype vehicles. Simulation tools as well as emission laboratory and engine dyno are also available. Your work environment will be within a calibration team, performing the full vehicle calibration of the engine management system for an engine family. Business trips both within and outside of Sweden is part of the assignment.
You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree and experience from the automotive industry. Preferably from the Engine Management System development and applications area. You are self-propelled and open-minded with good communication skills; teamwork oriented and also possesses an ability to take on a leadership role. Good oral and writing skills in English and drivers license category B are required.
