Aftermarket Technology (AMT) is a group function with the mission to provide our customers Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, and Volvo Penta with the best possible solutions supporting their aftermarket business.
Diagnostic Engineering (DE) is a group function innovating, developing, maintaining and delivering Diagnostic Service Based Solutions for Volvo products on the aftermarket. Our deliveries entail diagnostic tool platforms and content exemplified in Tech Tool and diagnostic content like Guided Diagnostics and Operations.
• Requirement engineering, which ensures that we can understand the best way to meet our customer?s needs early in our projects lifespan.
• Designing and providing Diagnostics & special tools for our technicians
• Delivery coordination for our products to the service network
We currently have an opening for a Diagnostic and Requirement Engineer within the DE team in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Diagnostics and Requirement Engineers are on the forefront of the Aftermarket group?s projects and are able to participate in early design decisions and recommend and support strategic decisions impacting our products.
As a member of the Gothenburg team, you will work with your colleagues to create aftermarket Diagnostic solutions for the entire EMEA and mainly for heavy duty products. You will have the opportunity to learn about global service needs, participate or lead global cross functional teams aimed at improving our way of working, and be a part of an organization that is close to the customer and constantly evolving to meet their needs.
Responsibility
• Specify, document and support the balancing of aftermarket requirements for our products within the Diagnostic Engineering process scope
• Gather and analyze Product and Project information and contribute to design and strategies for the technical solutions from the DE view
• Communicate agreed requirements and clarify expectations in a constructive dialogue product development
• Secure aftermarket requirements are handled and understood with a particular focus during the early phases of product development
• Cooperate with the global team to improve DE processes
Qualifications
• MSc or similar within Electrical-/ Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering
• A minimum of four years of experience with heavy duty vehicle repair, diagnostics and maintenance is highly desired
• Documented experience in requirement breakdown or technical project management is highly desired
• Experience with heavy duty product development is highly desired
• Knowledge of Volvo and Renault systems is preferred
• Experience working in a global environment is preferred

• Self-sufficient and motivate
