Parts & Service is a function within Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for Increase uptime and increase profitability for the bus owners. The main sites are located in Sweden, Poland, Mexico, India and Brazil. We want to make a difference by being there for our colleagues and our customers and by providing uptime and reliable tools and information for short lead-time at dealers and workshops. All over the world. Every day.
Diagnostics & Embedded Systems (D&ES) is a group of 16 engineers in Gothenburg within the Parts & Service organization that is responsible for development of diagnostic methodology, software distribution solutions and to safeguard log data capabilities.
We are now seeking an experienced Diagnostic Operation Engineer who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo Buses profitability and who has knowledge in Volvo embedded systems including mechatronics and electronics, and who is ready to take some action and be a part of creating our future.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Your main focus will be*Create test and calibration routines in our diagnostic tool TechTool
• Make test in test rigs and in vehicles
• Handling initiatives and pilot studies in the field of diagnostics in cooperation with markets and quality department
• Synchronize activities with other Volvo brands and represent Volvo Buses in stakeholder meetings concerning diagnostic operations
• Work in close cooperation with colleagues at Parts and Service, Product Development and with Group Trucks Technology-Aftermarket Technology (GTT-AMT) to develop best practice testing procedures and systems, maximizing customer uptime

Required knowledge/experience
To be successful in your new role we want you to have the following knowledge/experience:*BSc degree in mechatronics/electrical engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge in Volvo embedded systems including mechatronics and electronics
• Experience of developing diagnostics for service market
• Service minded and comfortable to work both independently and in teams
• Great communication skills in English, spoken and written
• Solution focused
• Eager to learn and work with your own development
• A Bus Service market knowledge within Volvo is meriting as well as service technician experience
