The section Diagnostics and Dependability develops On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) and Dependability solutions in Powertrain Control Systems. The group's teams are involved in the early development of new powertrain concepts. It is a large challenge to find solutions that both meet legal requirements and have maximum robustness not causing custumer disturbances. The teams are responsible for creating the technical system solutions, functional design and verification in full-scale test cars. When necessary, we arrange expeditions to various places in the world to test our hypotheses in environments such as severe winter cold and desert heat, combined with altitudes from sea level to high altitude roads in the Alps.

We are looking for a Diagnostic Engineer who wants to be at the forefront of the trend towards more efficient and environmentally friendly powertrains. Main responsibilities
• Functional design, calibration and verification of diagnostic software petrol engines
• Planning and method development of the functional design process and calibration process
• Contacts with internal and external suppliers

Required qualifications
• University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Applied Physics, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience from engines and engine control systems
• Knowledge within the Diagnostics and/or Dependability field is highly desired
• Skills in designing software algorithms and specifications
• Experience in use of commercial simulation tools, such as Matlab/Simulink
• Good level of Swedish and English, both oral and written

• Talent for a structured approach
• Appreciate the strength in building networks
• Self managed, reliable and well organised
• Positive attitude, proactive and attracted by a wide engineering role
