The group Aftertreatment & Combustion OBD is responsible for OBD (On-board Diagnostics) monitors for misfire, catalyst, SCR, NOx absorber, DPF / GPF for both petrol and diesel engines. The deliveries cover the whole time frame from legal interpretation, creating monitoring concept, deliver software, calibration and validation down to follow up the field status from customers cars. We participate in expeditions to various places in the world to ensure robustness in different environments e.g. to warm and cold climates and on different altitudes.
The group consists of three teams, each responsible for a specific technical area. You will work in one of these teams of 5-7 people undertaking the challenge to develop diagnostic solutions that protect the environment, meet legal requirements and at the same time have maximum robustness to avoid causing customer disturbances. Our greatest asset, and top priority to maintain and develop, is world-class On-board Diagnostics competence applied to each technical area.
We are now strengthening the teams with an additional Diagnostic Engineer within the area of Combustion On-board Diagnostics. At the same time you should know that there is a large possibility to develop deep knowledge in a certain area or go wider and aim for project/concept leader role.

Main responsibilities
Algorithm/Function development, calibration and verification of diagnostic monitors
Planning work in projects and long term development
Measurement data evaluation and analysis from test drives and expeditions
Define requirements for engine control systems
Develop methods for function design and efficient calibration/optimization
Ensuring monitors to fulfil legal compliance and robustness requirements
Required qualifications
M.Sc. or B.Sc in Mechatronics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or equivalent
Experience in control systems, function requirements, diagnostics, calibration/optimization or software development
Capability to understand complex systems and functions
Experience in Matlab and Simulink
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Driving license "B"
Meritorious qualifications
Work experience within the automotive industry
Experience of embedded control systems
Experience in calibration tools such as ATI Vision or ETAS Inca
Personal qualities

Able to work effectively as part of an engineering team
Social and communicative
Self-managed and proactive
Positive and open-minded
Well organised with a structured approach
Ambitious to learn and master new complex mechatronic systems
