The controls team at AVL in Gothenburg and Trollhättan is developing control systems for customers both in Sweden and globally. The development activities range between complete systems development to system analysis and development of single software components. Projects cover engine development from conventional vehicles via hybrid technologies to pure electric vehicles. We are also covering new technologies such as autonomous drive and security.
The diagnostic development of embedded systems in automotive range from analysis of legal requirements for various markets, driving fault mode analysis, resolving production needs and aftermarket requirements. Diagnostic engineers typically participate and drive the validation activities, most often together with customers.
Your responsibilities
Analyze legal requirements and international standards
Develop system requirements
Implement software components
Simulation, HIL and vehicle testing
Active participation in customer negotiation
Your background
M.Sc.,/B.Sc./PHD within the areas of physics, mechatronics, electronics, robotics or similar
More than 5 years of experience from diagnostics development work within any of the above areas
Previous knowledge of OBD discussions with authorities
Fluent in English and preferably Swedish
Experience from Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, calibration (INCA/Canape or similar), Canoe is a plus
Knowledge about xIL verification is also good
