DHL Supply Chain is now looking for a

Solution Design Engineer, based in Stockholm.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide solution design in the areas of warehousing & transportation and to lead the development of work methods, technology and operational processes. This in order to ensure standardisation and best practice of physical operational infrastructure, equipment and processes. The Solution Design Engineer will work in the areas of Business and Account development.

Key Accountabilities;

• Improvement projects

• Route optimization and transport management.

• Lead transfer of knowledge projects

• Logistics reports

• Environment/quality development in the transportation area

• Design logistic solution and present to customer together with BDM or KAM.

• Participate or lead customer/ internal workshops with target to develop new value added processes or techniques/ equipment

• Adopt and promote central products

• Create ABC calculations to determine cost for the solution.

• Create purchasing specifications for MHE and racking in cooperation with procurement.

Skills / Qualifications

• Analytical

• Relationship builder

• Strong skills in verbal and written communication, Swedish and English

• Strong business acumen

• Customer oriented

• University Degree, Engineer

• Minimum 3 year experience within 3rd party logistics industry

• Proven experience in engineering or operations management

• Excellent skills in MS Office

Desirable

• CAD-design

• Centre of Gravity analysis tool

• Warehouse simulation tool
