Dfind Science & Engineering are looking for a junior scientific expert for a temporary assignment. This assignment will take place at our Client, European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), in their office in Solna. The assignment will start in February and continue until the end May, with the possibility for an extension up to a total length of 12 months. As a Junior scientific expert your main responsibilities will include to:
• Support the work in the area of hepatitis B/C;
• Contribute to the surveillance of hepatitis at the EU/EEA level;
• Contribute to scientific studies on hepatitis;
• Contribute to other activities as required.

Qualifications and skills:
We are looking for candidates with a:
• Strong scientific or social scientific background (university degree in biology, medicine, veterinary medicine, social sciences, epidemiology, or other related fields).
• Knowledge of the field of hepatitis, preferably working with surveillance of hepatitis at the EU level.
• Proven technical expertise in collecting, analysing, interpreting and reporting surveillance data;
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken);
• Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
• Experience working in EU or international organization focused on public health is an advantage.
The ideal candidate is an ambitious person, with a high level of responsibility and the ability to take own initiative. You have a good sense of accuracy and have great attention to detail. We expect you to be a strong team player with excellent organizational and communication skills.
For this position we require excellent oral and written English.
